The Glove Radar® is an affordable training device, providing immediate velocity measurements that help develop the throwing skills of infielders, outfielders, and catchers, as well as pitchers. It is not an impact sensor or timer but is an actual Doppler radar, like conventional hand-held sports and police radar speed guns. The accuracy is comparable to that of the more expensive radar guns when measuring ball speed in the same relative location.* It allows you to throw from any distance and measure the speed of the ball just before it is caught. Measure speeds from 12 mph to over 100 mph.

* The Glove Radar® measures ball speed into the glove. Since the ball slows-down at rate of about 1 mph per 7 feet of travel (reference Prof. Adair), just add 6 mph to the reading to obtain the ball speed out of the pitcher’s hand for a pitching distance of 46 feet; 8 mph for pitching distance of 60 feet 6 inches; and 7 mph for distances in between. (The pitcher’s stride is taken into consideration).
