Welcome back to Facility Feature Friday! This week we are very excited to feature the personal facility of former MLB All-Star, Billy Butler!
Butler played in the MLB from 2007 to 2016, with most of his playing days being spent with the Kansas City Royals. As a primary designated hitter and secondary first baseman, Butler had the best years of his career with the Royals. 2012 was Butler’s best statistical year in the MLB, hitting .313 with 29 home runs and 107 RBI's. That same season, Butler made the American League All-Star team and won the AL Silver Slugger award as a DH. Two seasons later, Butler helped the Royals advance to the 2014 World Series. From 2015 to 2016, Butler played for the Oakland Athletics and New York Yankees before hanging up his cleats after the 2016 season.
Butler’s facility is equipped with a Motorized 55' L x 15' W x 23' H Batting Cage with #60 Knotted Netting, as well as a wireless remote. In addition, the facility is in the process of installing GT48 Padded Artificial Turf with 5mm Foam to complement the batting cage and give it a cleaner look!
