Shipping & Handling Information

Shipping Rates

Shipping prices quoted on OnDeckSports.com are estimates based on standard shipping practices within the continental United States. All shipping prices are based on weighted United States postal code volume. On Deck Sports will ship to Alaska, Hawaii & Canada, but prices may differ from those displayed. Customers are responsible for all custom fees and duties.

Although rare, the price of shipping may vary from what is quoted online. In these instances, an On Deck Sports representative will contact you with the updated shipping price before processing your order.

Ground Shipments

UPS and FedEx are ideal for items under a certain weight. More specifically, the term is "girth" which is a combination of Length, Width, Height and Weight determined by these shipping companies. Non-residential deliveries will require a signature upon delivery. UPS & FedEx do not offer call ahead. If there is not typically someone available at the delivery location to sign for shipments, please contact an On Deck Sports representative to go over alternative shipping options.

Freight Shipments

Any item larger than the "girth" measurement will need to go "freight," as the item is too large or heavy to go UPS or FedEx. Minimum charges to business and residential addresses apply to most freight orders. The customer is responsible for unloading all products from the truck. A call ahead is included with all freight shipments to notify customers when a shipment is on its way to the delivery location (typically around an hour in advance). Appointment deliveries can be made by request for an added cost.

A lift gate is recommended for palletized or boxed items shipping freight to help get them from the truck to the ground if the location does not have a loading dock or forklift. Without a lift gate, forklift or loading dock, customers will need to get up into the truck to get items off. For turf shipments, a forklift with a carpet pole extension is recommended to help with getting the turf off the truck as the rolls are too long to use a liftgate. Residential freight deliveries are made curbside. It is the customer’s responsibility to get the shipment from there to where they want it.

Customers are responsible for any additional costs associated with shipping that are not included with their original sales order. This may include the cost of any accessorial that is added after the initial order, redelivery costs if materials are unable to be unloaded from the truck at the scheduled delivery time, and any storage fees associated with the inability to unload the truck.

Damage From Shipping

It is recommended to sign for all freight shipments as possible concealed damage. If items are visibly damaged or arrive in damaged packaging, take photos of the damage and sign for them as damaged. Notify On Deck Sports immediately if a shipment arrives damaged.

Damage from shipping must be reported within 5 days so that the proper claims can be made with the carrier. Failure to report any problems within 5 days of delivery will forfeit any claims for Damage with On Deck Sports.

Please contact an On Deck Sports representative at 1-800-365-6171 or at info@ondecksports.com with any questions related to the shipping process.
