Welcome back to Facility Feature Friday! Today we are showcasing the Sussex Tech High School Ravens located in Georgetown, Delaware!
Playing in Delaware’s Henlopen Conference, Sussex Tech takes pride in their athletic programs. Recently, Sussex Tech came to On Deck Sports with hopes of building an indoor batting cage facility for their baseball and softball teams. After laying out plans with On Deck Sports project managers, they came up with this final design!
On Deck Sports is proud to have installed this batting cage and turf facility at STSH! They chose our #42 Nylon Custom Batting Cage for 4 batting cage lanes, making the cages retractble. The cage area takes up 2,016 sq.ft., with the entirety of it being 12’ x 86’ (1,032 sq.ft.). In addition, two of the cages have dimensions of 12’ x 19’ (456 sq.ft.), while the other two are at 12’ x 22’ (528 sq.ft.). Plus, the batting cages are even retractable!
To complement the cage, Sussex Tech installed 3,120 sq.ft. of our GT34 Padded Artificial Turf with 5mm Foam. Plus, they also installed 216 sq.ft. of 8mm Black Rollout Rubber Flooring!
Our facility experts helped them land on our top-of-the-line #42 netting, as On Deck Sports coat’s and dye’s each individual strand of netting while using UV inhibitors for extra durability.
